Constipation home remedies are plentiful, but fiber as a remedy is not a solution for everyone. Regardless of how you use it, in foods, tablets, powdered, or pills, if you have chronic constipation, it may or may not help you.

Yet if you have chronic constipation, you will want to do something about it. Constipation is defined as not having one or two bowel movements per day. If you have them every other day or even worse every other two days, you need to take action to increase your regularity.

When you have constipation your stools are in contact with your colon walls longer then they should be. This excess contact can expose your colon walls to excess contact to toxins and carcinogens that can lead to colon or other diseases.

Now, if fiber is not keeping you regular, it does not mean you should not take or use fiber in your diet. It may seem that if fiber is not helping you with your constipation that it has not value for you. Truth is fiber has many health benefits and is a necessity for long life.

There are some people that have constipation caused by insufficient peristalsis, which is not enough contractile to move fecal matter out of the colon. When this is the case, there are some special constipation natural remedies that are called for.

Here is what you can do for chronic constipation. On an empty stomach, combine in grapefruit juice 4-8 grams of powdered vitamin C, with 1500 mg of magnesium oxide powder. Check to see if you can find a powdered product that already contains these two powders. These constipation natural remedies can be found on the internet.

When using this combination for constipation, vitamin C and magnesium you may have to adjust how much you take. This combination may cause diarrhea if too much is taken.
